Love is blue     "30 x 30"    acrylic on canvas  sold
I remember hearing this song. Perhaps my mother listened to it on the radio. Maybe my father played
it on the piano. I remember how I loved hearing my dad fill the house up with blues and ragtime tunes.
For me he would play "The most beautiful girl in the world", and my mom would listen.

So why name a painting after a melancholic old song? Well, as I was working, I thought about the
colour blue, about my son who loves blueberries, about how much I love him, and about how he once
had blue lips and fingertips from eating them.

Yeah, blue is how I'll feel when my son will be old enough to listen to these old songs.
Love Is Blue

Blue blue my world is blue
Blue is my world now I'm without you
Grey grey my life is grey
Cold is my heart since you went away
Red red my eyes are red
Crying for you alone in my bed
Green green my jealous heart
I doubted you and now we're apart
When we met how the bright sun shone
Then love died now the rainbow is gone
Black black the nights I've known
Longing for you so lost and alone
Gone gone the love we knew
Blue is my world now I'm without you
When we met how the bright sun shone
Then love died now the rainbow is gone
Black black the nights I've known
Longing for you so lost and alone
Blue blue my world is blue
Blue is my world now I'm without you
